I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008 takes place in Milan (Italy) from September 22 to 26, 2008. It is a moment of cultural importance since it will be a real filmmakers' exchange. Filmmakers will face each other on the common ground of the film language.

The International Short Film Festival’s Artistic Director is Giancarlo Zappoli, film critic and director of Mymovies.it film portal.

Maestro Ludovico Einaudi (Diario Mali, Una Mattina, Le Onde, La Scala Concert, Eden Roc, Time Out), actor and producer Richard Gere (American Gigolo, The Honorary Consul, Pretty Woman, The Cotton Club, I’m Not There), director Robert Rodriguez (El Mariachi, Once upon a time in Mexico, Sin City, Grindhouse Planet Terror), director and producer Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma & Louise, Gladiator, American Gangster), and director Paul Verhoeven (Soldier of Orange, The Fourth Man, Flesh & Blood, Robocop, Basic Instinct, Black Book), will be members of the International Jury.

I’VE SEEN FILMS, founded in 2007 by the international screen actor and director Rutger Hauer. It aims at promoting and unite filmmakers through internet streaming. This way their works will get a new exposure and have a fresh platform of visibility.

This Festival edition – other than the main film categories – also adds a special section dedicated to the HIV/AIDS subject. Filmmakers are invited to send works on this subject, which helps to continue seeing multiple angles on this worldwide disease.

I’VE SEEN FILMS, in cooperation with CortoWeb, is one of the four festivals that joined Tiscali in its ''Tiscali InShort'' initiative, where the “Tiscali InShort Golden Award” will be assigned to the best short film chosen amongst the winners of these festivals' sections.

CortoWeb, founded in the year 2000, is Europe’s largest platform for the internet streaming of auteur short films, offering a unique and extremely wide selection of artistic works.

In addition, by linking this event to the successful initiative of the Rutger Hauer Film Factory (which is transmitting a legacy of enormous film knowledge passed on by Rutger Hauer and his peers and talented film professionals) this new-concept platform creates a new opportunity for filmmakers and offers the largest possible artistic choice to audiences all over the world.

By merging these three important realities together, I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008 offers an innovative way of linking the new media to establish a different and exciting cultural film festival tradition.

I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008 provides the participants with a longer exposure to their works, by streaming them on internet as part of the Tiscali InShort online event. An international audience votes on them, selecting the valuable ones for entry into the I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008 Festival Competition. Finally, a jury of experts will judge them, along with other selected works, and give awards to the best ones in their respective categories.

The I’VE SEEN FILMS 2008 will take place in Milan (Italy) in the huge and modern Skyline multiplex venue, in a very large screening room with extremely comfortable seats, with a 20-meter (66 ft.) wide screen and with a state-of-the-art technical set-up that includes an International THX® Certified system.
