Plot:
Santiago Munez, a young, naturally-gifted football player, born in an underprivileged immigrant Mexican family, after having gained some experience with the 'Newcastle United' Football Club, gets a huge break when he is transferred to the important Real Madrid Football team, alongside Ronaldo.
His dream of playing at professional level and being able to support his poor family is now becoming a reality...
Notes:
The idea for the film came in 2002, when the producers Mike Jefferies and Matt Barrelle were at the World Cup in Japan.
'Goal II, Living the Dream' is the second of a series of three films ('Goal, The Dream Begins' and 'Goal III' are the other two) which follow Santiago throughout his career.
Santiago is played by the Mexican TV and film star Kuno Becker, best known as the rich son in the hit show 'Sonadoras', a role that made him gain a lot of fans across the U.S. and Latin America.
A number of star players took part in this series, including David Beckham.
Rutger plays the role of Rudi Van Der Merwe, the coach.
