Plot:
A bored seductress wife skips out for a night at the casino instead of staying at home and listening to her husband's gangster pals and their plotting. This, after having attracted her husband and his friends' attention by diving in the swimming pool completely dressed.

Notes:
This videoclip was shot during a two-night period in Monte Carlo in July 2000 and Rutger's unexpected guest star appearance took everybody by surprise. He plays the darkly mysterious role of a rich gangster who gathers his pals in his luxurious villa to talk about their "business", while his young charming wife decides to spend the night out gambling.

During the shooting, in order to help the director get into the video's ambiguous mood, Rutger suddenly encircled Avery's windpipe with his brawny arm saying, 'Embrace your fear'...

Kylie's single "On a Night Like This" reached the #2 position in the British single chart. She stated, 'In my opinion the Rutger Hauer character is kind of like a minder or he's in charge of her, although there is that kind of strong sexual tension'. Three versions were shot - a "safe" one, a late-night one and an X-rated version - in this latter Kylie can be seen completely naked.
