Plot:
Willem, previously working in a warehouse, buys an expensive car and becomes a taxi-driver.

From that moment on, his wife is left alone practically all day long, since he works day and night shifts in order to finish paying his car.

His wife begins a relationship with a salesman, Rogier.

After a while she realizes she is pregnant. In order to find the money for an abortion, her lover thinks to steal it by robbing a taxi-driver.

By pure chance, he steals that money from Agnes's husband, who starts a chase to get him and in the end he succeeds in sending him to jail.
After this accident, Agnes and Willem get closer than before.
