Hunters of the Savage Garden
© by Steven Markus C.

And in the blood of her soul
and sent of her heavenly body
I bathed
her words
soft music to my ears
and little by little
the exquisite feelings of love and life
reached back into my heart
battling with the foolish torment
I had created for myself
her limbs
tangled around me
smooth serpents
and in soft embrace
I wished for reddened lips
to taste my mouth
and breathe me in
she gave to me
this promise again
the one gem I had thought lost forever
and once more
my wolfish grin
and darkest charm
would hunt in the savage garden…
