How does one explain
so that others,
even loved-ones,
can understand and see
the deep need
and desire
for
solitude,
silence,
and loneliness?
Yet simultaneously,
the wish for something
else.
No wish to be
isolated,
desolated,
or detached from
friends and loved-ones,
witty conversations
and the exchange of souls.
Neither selfishness
nor aloofness,
just the deep need
and desire
for
solitude,
silence,
and loneliness.
My heart's need and desire
lie in the quiet moments of life.
But also in the compassionate,
the loud
and outspoken ones.
So this and more,
beneath the surface,
is being me,
whispering
what I am.
I must learn
how to shout...
