Black and White Whiskers
© by Jamie O'Neil

They curve so gracefully
And frame most appealingly
That slyly smiling mouth.

With that cunning crescent moon upon your chin.

Standing out, oh so bold and gay
Reflecting every changing mood
And speaking your secret emotions.

I always know your mood, my dear.

Though your green and gold eyes
Enigmatically hide what's inside
I always know your thoughts, you see.

Your black and white whiskers give you away.
