Waiting on the Next Life
© by Courtney Stone-Moore

Time erases nothing
Inoculate time
Going this way it is our enemy
Going into the unknown it is our lover.
Warm and lucid
Sliding into our new skin
Now my eyes can see
Ever before and then.

I sit with trees
draw peace and stength from their being.
Archers, murderers, and lovers
have sat here for the same cause
their spirit remains
to teach future foes
Time can be our way to freedom.
