A Life Lived Well
© by Paul Beveridge

That life does not end in death
But that death ends your life
One should strive to make true

And realised as such
Death should take but a flicker
A second or two

Any more would make death
a part of your life
Giving more importance than is due

To live up to the end
But for that fading instant
Is a life lived well all the way through
