Starfish Fourth International Fundraiser
Castellarquato (Italy) - September 5-6, 2003
Dear
Friends,
Although
I was in the middle of shooting "Never Enough",
I had made up my mind. As most of you already
know, I was just getting dressed that morning
to go to the airport. Tickets and everything were
arranged. My director had even given me one extra
day off. I was to fly from Bucharest to Milano
to attend and open the St*rfish Charity event.
I was honestly looking forward to this small and
heartfelt initiative from the village of Castellarquato
to support St*rfish this way. Well... that morning
my back went out terribly and I could not move,
let alone travel. Of course my presence was deeply
missed by fans and other people who were hoping
to see me. I hope I will be better next time.
*********
The
medieval dinner on September 5 has been a marvellously
set-up event, attended also by some international
journalists, and the screening of 'Ladyhawke'
on September 6 was in progress while at the very
same time this film was also being aired on one
of the main Italian TV channels. All this unexpected
publicity turned out to be more than we were hoping
for.
