This is the book entitled 'Bead by Bead' (by the South African non-profit organization 'Monkeybiz'), which the Rutger Hauer Starfish Association contributed in producing.
This is an artistically exceptional book that tells ''the story of the astonishing Monkeybiz project, whose gorgeous beaded artworks and thriving initiative for empowering local women have caught the world's imagination''.
This artistically-designed book has 144 colorful pages that portray the marvellous bead works prepared by local people, and it describes how the project of women's empowerement at grass-roots level became so much successful. A large percentage of Monkeybiz artists are either HIV-positive or care for people who are dying of AIDS.
Rutger has autographed in black ink the page that reports his comments about this wonderful sustainability project.
