VAN BOMMEL AND STARFISH AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The Rutger Hauer Starfish Association is proud to announce that a new and targeted media campaign has taken place during the first month of 2007, with the support of the Dutch Van Bommel company.

Van Bommel is a very old and firmly established luxury shoe manufacturer which dates back to 1734 and has carried on a tradition of excellence since that time.

In 2006 Floris Van Bommel approached me with a new media/awareness proposal to fight all ignorance, misinformation and superstition related to HIV/AIDS. They have also donated funds to 'Starfish' to directly support our goals.

This AIDS awareness campaign (which has taken place on the most important Dutch and Belgian newspapers and magazines, as well as on TV) addressed a Dutch speaking audience, but the Van Bommel website also incorporated a link to the English language.  Below is the link:
